Maruti Suzuki Wagon R

The WagonR has consistently made the list of best-selling cars in India since its launch in the early 2000s. And it is still going strong, as it sold 14,885 units. In fact, it is the only hatchback to make this list. It makes this list despite selling 233 fewer units than in January

The reason for such a consistent demand is the Value-for-money factor. It is priced between Rs 5.85 Lakh and Rs 8.50 Lakh (on-road, Mumbai). At this price, you get all the basic amenities, such as 6 airbags, a reverse parking screen, and a 7-inch infotainment screen, along with practical interiors and a fuel-efficient 1.2-litre engine.

Top 7 Cars – Maruti Suzuki Eritga

India loves a practical 7-seater MPV, and the Ertiga fits that criteria. This is evident from its sales, which totalled 17,807 units. Like with the WagonR, it also gets the sales boost due to its popularity as a fleet vehicle.

The feature list is pretty basic and includes a rear parking camera, electronically adjustable ORVMs, and cruise control. But the Ertiga’s main USP is its practicality and fuel efficiency.  The Ertiga is priced between 10.30 Lakh and Rs 15.33 Lakh (on-road, Mumbai), which seems a fair price for such a practical 7-seater.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza

Despite news of a facelift coming soon, Brezza sales have shown no impact. In fact, it is one of the few cars on this list to see a rise in sales. At 17,863 units, it sold 377 units more than last month.

As for the features, it comes with a 360-degree parking camera, cruise control, an electric sunroof, a head-up display, wireless charging and a 9-inch infotainment screen. The Brezza is priced between Rs 9.68 Lakh and Rs 15.42 Lakh (on-road, Mumbai). It may not be as feature-loaded as some of its rivals, but the sales remain strong regardless.

Top 7 Cars – Hyundai Creta

With so many new launches, you would expect the sales of the Creta to fall off drastically, but you would be wrong. It experienced a minor rise in demand of around 17 units over January sales.  Hyundai sold 17,938 units of the Creta last month, including EV sales.

The Creta remains one of the most feature-packed SUVs in the segment, despite its last update being 2 years ago. You get features like Level-2 ADAS, a 360-degree parking camera, a panoramic sunroof, a twin 10.25-inch screen setup, and much more. The Creta is priced between Rs 12.83 lakh & Rs 24.48 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), and when you consider the features, powertrain options, and practicality you get for this price, it sounds like a sweet deal.

It is the only sedan in this SUV-dominated list. Its practicality and affordability remain a great option for most families and fleet vehicles. It is priced between Rs 7.37 Lakh and Rs 10.89 Lakh (on-road, Mumbai), and for this price, you get features like sunroof, automatic climate control, 9-inch infotainment screen, cruise control and wireless charging. It comes with features like a 360-degree camera, a 10.25-inch driver’s display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats, and more. Moreover, it is priced between Rs 8.44 Lakh and Rs 17.06 Lakh (on-road, Mumbai). At this price, arguably, it offers the best value for money in the market.
