Hyundai Creta Update

We are not talking about the ICE-powered Creta but the Creta Electric. This SUV has gotten a significant update that you should know about. Hyundai has boosted the claimed range of the Creta electric via a simple software update. And this update is pretty significant as well. Hyundai claims the range of the 42 kWh battery pack has increased from 420 km to 450 km, a 30 km hike. The bigger battery pack, the 51.4 kWh, gets an ever-higher claimed range. The claimed range for the bigger battery pack now stands at 510 km.
It is also important to note that the claimed range may vary from the real-world range. Driving conditions, driving style, speed, and temperature all play a part in extracting the most kilometres from the battery pack. Nevertheless, this update will also improve the real-world range.
Creta electric owners can get this range boost with a simple software update or by visiting the nearest Hyundai service centre. Hyundai have achieved this range boost by smarter battery management and adjustments to the vehicle control unit.

Faster Charging

Another update the Creta gets is that it can now be charged using 100 kW chargers. This is a significant update since the earlier Creta was compatible with 50 kW DC fast charging. The improvement in fast-charging compatibility means the 10%-80% charging time is lower, from 58 minutes to 39 minutes. However, the AC charging time is unchanged, and it still takes 4 hours using an 11 kW AC charger.
