The 2026 Chief Vintage pays tribute to the legendary Chief model from the post World War 2 era of 1940s
Indian Motorcycle, the US-based brand, has unveiled the 2026 Chief Vintage, which takes styling inspiration from the iconic Chief model from the 1940s. It pays homage to the original Chief motorcycle from the post World War 2 era. Reflecting the brand’s Never Finished spirit, it has been introduced to commemorate the 125th anniversary of Indian Motorcycle. Just so you know, the vintage Chief model’s was developed at production line in Springfield, Massachusetts. The 2026 Indian Chief Vintage could be launched in India in the coming months.

With its iconic V-Twin engine, valanced fenders, and unparalleled reliability, the Chief set a standard for performance and design that resonates today. It represents the spirit of Indian Motorcycle – bold, timeless, and always pushing forward,” said Ola Stenegärd, Design Director for Indian Motorcycle.
Some of the notable design elements in the 2026 Chief Vintage reminiscent of the original bike from the 1940s are sculpted lines, valanced front fender, narrow rear subframe, wire-spoke wheels, and vintage handlebars and solo seat.
