The Skoda Experience 2026 was quite an eventful day for Skoda fans. We say so because Skoda confirmed that it will bring in another batch of the Octavia RS after witnessing 100 units getting sold out in just 20 minutes. Moreover, the brand also confirmed that it will be bringing in Kodiaq RS, a sporty family SUV, to India. As exciting as these two announcements were, Skoda got us excited for its most affordable RS. And no, it’s not the Slavia RS or the Kushaq RS! Technically, it might not be named the RS, but it will surely live up to it. And it is none other than the Kylaq Sportline+. We believe that the Skoda Kylaq will get the 1.5-litre TSI engine from the Kushaq, which is very popular for its enthralling performance.

Kylaq, being a pretty small SUV, the 1.5-litre engine will be a thrilling experience. A few months ago, there was a Kylaq that was spotted with all-wheel disc brakes, which led us to believe that the Kylaq could get the 1.5-litre TSI. At the event, the spokesperson also claimed that the Sportline+ will be a sharper, sportier and more expressive version of the existing Kylaq. If Skoda is able to pull this off and offer the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine (148bhp & 250Nm) in its smallest and most affordable car in India, it will be mind-boggling.

The Kylaq Sportline+ will likely get a few design elements to differentiate it from the existing models. It could get a blacked-out treatment, a sharper grille and bumper, a more prominent roof spoiler, and much more. The interior could also see a few design changes to add to the sportiness of the SUV. We expect the features to remain the same. Features include powered and ventilated front seats, a 10-inch touchscreen, an 8-inch instrument cluster, an electric sunroof, and much more. The Skoda Kylaq Sportline+ model will be launched in Q3 of 2026, as confirmed by the brand.

So, would you like to see the Kylaq with the bigger engine?
