Tata Safari EV Launching In 2026
Tata has had its hand filled with several new launches lately. But they are not looking to slow down anytime soon. Tata is expected to launch the Safari EV in 2026. The Safari EV will be Tata’s first seven-seater electric vehicle in India.

The electric SUV was recently spotted testing alongside the upcoming Sierra.EV. While official details remain limited, the Safari EV is expected to be built on Tata’s proven SUV credentials.
What Can We Expect?
The Tata Safari EV is likely to be based on Tata Motors’ Acti.EV+ platform, a flexible EV architecture that is also shared by the Tata Harrier EV. As per the latest information, the Safari EV may also borrow its battery from the Harrier EV, which includes the 65kWh and the 75kWh battery packs.
While performance figures and driving range have not been revealed yet, the platform could support an all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup via dual motors. In terms of design, the Safari EV is expected to share a similar silhouette concept that has been used for the Harrier EV.

Inside, the Safari EV is expected to follow Harrier EV’s design layout. The car will also be equipped with features like touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, ambient lighting, and Level 2 ADAS. The upcoming Tata Safari EV might also get rear ventilated seats to rival the Mahinda XEV 9S.
Expected Launch & Price
AS per the latest speculations, the Tata Safari EV is expected to launch mid 2026. Talking about its pricing, Tata has provided no official statements, but we are expecting the Safari EV to go all the way upto Rs 37 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Once introduced, the Tata Safari EV will directly compete with the Mahindra XEV 7S in the 7-seater EV segment.
