New 7-Seater Launch

Yes, you guessed it right! We are talking about the Mahindra XUV700 that will be launched tomorrow as the XUV 7XO! From tomorrow, that is the 5th of January 2026, we will have a new SUV – the XUV 7XO, featuring a new design & technology. The brand has already teased a few, and the expectations are set high. But how much will it cost? Currently, the XUV700 is priced between Rs 16.50 lakh & Rs 30.65 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). However, with a facelift, the top models could see a price hike of up to Rs 1 lakh! Whereas the base & mid trims could get a price hike anywhere between Rs 25,000 & Rs 50,000. But why do we expect such a massive price hike? Well, it is the offering of the new XUV 7XO!

New Design & Features

For starters, the XUV 7XO will feature a new exterior and interior design language. Outside, there will be a new front grille, new headlamps & taillamps, new front & rear bumpers and redesigned alloy wheels. What will remain unchanged is the overall silhouette of the SUV! Similarly, the interior will also undergo some important changes. For instance, we could see redesigned AC vents & centre console for a fresh appeal. Along with this, the leatherette upholstery will also be different, and the overall interior will receive a new colour theme. The major highlight of the SUV will be the updated feature list. The XUV 7XO is said to come with a 12.3-inch touchscreen system, a 12.3-inch co-driver touch display, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Level 2+ ADAS, in-car camera, ventilated second row seats, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and more!

Same Engine Options –New 7-Seater Launch

What will & should remain unchanged are the engine options. Currently, the XUV700 comes with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine & a 2.2-litre diesel engine. Both these engines are among the best-in-segment units in terms of performance and refinement. Also, both these engines are offered with options for a 6-speed MT & a 6-speed AT gearbox. And with a facelift, Mahindra will likely continue offering the same combination, with only changes expected being much better power figures!
