Honda Activa has been in the Indian market for the past 25 years. In 25 years, almost 3.5 core Activas became a part of the Indian household. For the last 25 years, Activa has been evolving, and the 6th generation is now on sale.

With the launch of the Hornet CB125 (a sporty commuter) and the Shine 100DX (an entry-level commuter), Honda is showing their interest in the commuter segment. In recent updates to the Activa, Honda has removed the suffixes (3G, 4G, 6G) from the Activa name. Here is what you need to know about the updated Honda Activa (Activa 7G).

Key Details:

The updated Activa is expected to have changes to the Lighting setup and some design revisions. On the tech front, Honda is to offer a TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, featuring on-board information for navigation, calls, texts, and music. Other features include a side-stand cut-off, an idling-stop system, and an open glove box with a 15W USB-C port. The Activa 7G, or the updated Activa, is likely to ride on a 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheel setup as standard. The suspension travel on the current generation of the Activa is not the best, which can be updated in the upcoming update.

Powertrain:

Honda is expected to offer the same 105.9cc engine in the updated Activa, which has been powering it for the past 5 years. And this powertrain is famous for being reliable, fuel-efficient and consistent performance. This engine features Honda’s advanced fuel injection system, which further enhances the Activa’s fuel efficiency.

Rivals:

The Honda Activa 7G will continue to have the same rivals, including TVS Jupiter, Suzuki Avnis, and Hero Xoom 110. The EV scooters are catching up as well. The Bajaj Chetak, Hero Vida, and TVS iQube are selling well and could be potential competitors.

Expected Launch and Pricing:

We have seen that Honda has been following the trend of introducing a new generation of the Activa after every 2-3 years. Honda introduced the Activa 6G H-smart in 2023, and the brand is expected to launch another update in 2026. The prices are likely to be the same with an increment of 3-5 thousand. Making the Activa price range start around 95 thousand and go up to 1.20 lakh (on-road Mumbai).
