Tata Harrier And Safari Petrol – Upcoming Tata SUVs

The Safari and Harrier have only had a single engine option since their launch, while their rivals offered multiple powertrain options. However, that will soon change as Tata will be launching the Harrier and Safari with a new petrol engine. Both the SUVs will get the 1.5-litre TGDi engine from the recently launched Sierra, which is capable of 158bhp and 255Nm of torque. However, along with the new engine, we do expect Tata to offer a few new features to the Harrier and Safari to add more value to the SUVs. We expect Tata to launch these SUVs by the end of December 2025 or early January 2026.

Tata Punch Facelift

The Punch is one of Tata’s best-selling SUVs, as it offers great value for money. The entry-level Tata SUV is due for an update, and there have been many instances of a test mule being spotted. So, we do expect the brand to launch the Punch facelift early next year – possibly within the first half of 2026. The Punch facelift will likely get a design overhaul and a plethora of changes in terms of features and safety equipment. We expect the SUV to get features like ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, an electronic parking brake, 6 airbags and much more. However, we believe that Tata will keep the engine options unchanged. With these new additions, we expect the Tata Punch facelift to carry a price tag ranging from Rs 6.80 Lakh to Rs 12 Lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Tata Sierra EV – Upcoming Tata SUVs

While Tata has launched the Sierra recently, the Sierra EV is not that far along the way. Looking at the warm welcome that the Sierra received, it will be interesting to see how the fans react to the EV version. We expect Tata to launch the EV version of the Sierra in 2026. One of the key aspects is that the Sierra EV will get AWD. Now, when it comes to powertrain options, Tata has a long range of battery pack options: a 45kWh, a 55kWh, a 65kWh and a 75kWh.

So, the Sierra EV could feature any 2 out of these, maybe even 3. Nevertheless, one thing we know for sure is that the Sierra EV will get AWD. The EV version will borrow most of the features from the ICE Sierra, along with a few EV-specific features like V2V and V2L. We could expect the Sierra EV to carry a price tag ranging from Rs 17 Lakh to Rs 26 Lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
