Ola’s Daydream Era To Nightmare –

In a market, thrived by the best two-wheeler makers like Hero, Bajaj, TVS – Ola made its way silently onto the top. Suddenly those who were buying Activa or Jupiter, directly started to consider the Ola Electric scooters as their next purchase. Everything was going according to the plan, Ola’s CEO Bhavish Aggarwal was happy by defeating the two-wheeler leaders with its new products. But who knew that the brand was standing in front of the most devastating period.

From the podium, collecting the best electric scooter of the year awards, Ola suddenly fell to the rock bottom. No plan B, No support from the customers and even not having a clear thinking about what to do next – Ola ship sank just like Titanic. And for Ola the iceberg which made it sank was not one but multiple reasons

– Low product quality
– No Service help
– Less availability of spares
– Untrained staff

Instead of focusing on why the brand is failing and correcting it, Ola came up with launching newer bikes every now-and-then. And this literally made them fall more in the eyes of customers. Many took it on social media & complained to higher authorities; still no reply from the brand. Instead what the customers got?

– Their two wheelers getting rotted in the service centers

Still no help from the brand, no response; later customers started to burn their vehicles in front of showrooms. Was this idiocy? It doesn’t seem so. People had put their hard earned money trusting on this brand. And later they were the only ones who had to suffer, meanwhile Bhavish was enjoying and daydreaming about launching newer two-wheelers.

Yes, negligence was one of the major things that affected the brand. But, still after such things what did the brand do?

– New Schemes (Ola Sona, Same day registration, etc.)
– Launching more affordable two-wheelers
– Faking sales numbers.

Still not accepting the fact that they are losing customers! Their service centers are still full with vehicles that are literally standing there from months & months. What happens next?

– Sales dipped
– Showrooms Closed
– Negative PR rising
– Brand banned in some cities

This shows how not accepting the flaws can make you taste the sand. People have lost their trust on Ola, new buyers moving to Bajaj, TVS again! Why? Consistency, trust. Yes, TVS has also battled the consumer preference due to service issues, but it is still thriving in the market. Act fast, Ola!
