New-Gen Hyundai Creta – What To Expect?

Hyundai’s most popular nameplate – the Creta, is said to receive a generational update in the coming years that we will talk about in the later part of this article. But before that, let’s discuss what all changes we expect to see with this model.
Design:

Being a generational update and not a normal cosmetic one, expect the new Creta to receive a new design language. The current Creta looks more on the classy; that’s what Hyundai is known for, right? But with the new update, the new model might come with an all new design which includes a new or revised grille, redesigned headlamps and taillamps, revised bumpers, new set of alloys and more.
Along with its design changes, also expect the model to be a bit larger in size! Yes, just like the Kia Seltos. Hyundai might place the new-gen Creta on the new K3 platform from the current K2 platform. This will give the brand a boost in increasing the overall dimensions of this SUV compared to the current model. This boost in dimensions will help to compete with its spacious rivals like Tata Sierra and its sister brand’s Kia Seltos.
For customers, the change in dimensions will help to liberate more space on the inside than present.

Interiors:

Creta gets the majority of features on the inside, we can even say it is one of the most feature loaded SUVs present in the country. Now along with the new update, the Creta’s feature list will also expand, with some new features making its way on the model.
The updated list of features on the model might include the likes of a triple screen display unit; or at least Hyundai can offer a dual 12.3-inch display from the current 10.25-inch unit ones. Along with that, we also expect the higher trims to get wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay feature, as only the lower units get it (the brand offers a wired connectivity in the top-trims), a powered tailgate, Ventilated rear seats, extendable thigh support, AR HUD, and a new sound system!
With its new generation, Hyundai must try to maximize safety of the Creta. Yes, this includes several new safety features like Level 2+ ADAS suite (upgrade from the current Level 2 ADAS suite) and some more to be equipped on the SUV. Along with that, Hyundai must also use a good amount of high strength steel, to make it safer. If it gets this, then it has a probability of defeating the new rivals strongly!

Powertrain:

Now, it has been reported that the Creta with the new-generational update will receive some new engine options under the hood. Along with that, it will surely continue with the current trio of 1.5-litre engine options. Now, the new engine is expected to be a hybrid powertrain setup. Exact details of the same are currently not known, but we expect the strong hybrid setup to be introduced on the current 1.5-litre NA petrol engine.
The introduction of a hybrid setup will surely help the brand to offer some good mileage figures, for those who crave for it. Transmission duties are handled by manual and automatic gearbox units.

Launch & Pricing
Well, now let’s complete what we left uncovered earlier, yes, about its launch. Now, the new-generation Hyundai Creta is expected to be launched by 2027! The exact month is yet to be revealed. But as Bharat Mobility Show has also been announced in 2027, we can expect the new model to be revealed at that time.
Regarding the pricing, the new-gen Creta with all the new upgrades is expected to be priced a bit more expensive than the current model. We expect the SUV to be priced between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 26 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
