Upcoming Nissan 7-Seater – What To Expect?

Nissan has managed to not reveal any major details of this car yet. But we already have come across some sightings of this 3-row car testing on Indian roads. That said, the details of this car are scarce, but here’s everything that we expect to come –

Firstly, it will be based on the platform of Renault Triber and will be another badge engineered product under Renault-Nissan alliance. That said, also expect the dimension and silhouette of this MPV to be similar to the Renault Triber. Similar and not exact, keep it in mind.

The Nissan MPV will boast a different design inspiration, so expect it to get a more aggressive stance along with a large grille, and other design attributes to help it visually look different from the Renault’s model.

Interiors

We might get the first glimpse of what’s on the inside on the reveal day, but given the shared platform; we expect the model to carry the equipment list along with the layout design similar to the Triber. Some of the expected features on the model includes a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, 8-inch infotainment touchscreen system, wireless charging pad, sliding and reclining rear seats, 6-airbags standard and more in its package.

Engine Options

Now, the engine options are again expected to be carried from the Renault Triber. With that, we expect the same 1.0-litre NA petrol engine doing its duty on the Triber to do its duty with the Nissan’s upcoming 3-row MPV too. The 1.0-litre NA petrol engine is capable of producing 72bhp & 96Nm mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox unit.

However, Nissan can even go a way further and introduce a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine from its own Magnite along with a CVT gearbox unit. This turbo petrol mill was expected to be introduced on the Triber, some months before with its facelift. However, we would need to see if Nissan hears out the needs of customers!

Pricing Expectations

This new MPV being based on the Renault Triber – expect it to be priced affordably! Only if Nissan thinks to introduce some advanced tech, that can make it a bit pricey. But, as things are going, expect the 3-row MPV to be priced between Rs 6.76 lakh and Rs 10.02 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
