New Gen Kia Seltos – Price, Features, Design Details

Kia has finally taken the wraps off its new-gen Seltos in India. This new-gen comes just after the brand struggles with the sales of the outgoing model. But will this update help the Seltos to give a tough competition to its Korean counterpart, Hyundai Creta? Does it justify its pricing?

New-Gen Kia Seltos Price –

The new-generation Kia Seltos is offered in 4 persona options – HTE, HTK, HTX, GTX. While, the price haven’t yet been revealed, the automaker has said that the prices will be out on 2nd January. The all new Kia Seltos is available in 10 monotone and 2 dual tone colour options, including – Morning Haze, Magma Red, Frost Blue, Ivory Silver Gloss which are newly introduced.

The bookings & delivers of the SUV will commence from 10 December & mid-january, respectively.

Design & Features – 

Now, the highlight of the update is not only the comprehensive design upgrades and new features, but also the size. Yes, the new Kia Seltos has an increased length of around 95mm from the outgoing model. And it particularly increases the wheel-base by 80mm to offer an improved legroom for the passengers. Along with it has also increased the boot space to 447litres which is 14litres of increase. This has been possible as the Kia Seltos has been moved from the K2 platform to K3 platform with the new-gen.

The new-gen Seltos receives some new & better design updates. Some to note includes a new grille, updated headlamp setup along with DRLs, new L-shaped taillamps, prominent bonnet lines, new set of alloy wheels, flush-type door handles, redesigned tailgate, extended rear spoiler and more. 

The SUV receives a comprehensive upgrade on the inside too. The list of features on the model includes – Trinity (triple) screen display, 8-speaker Bose premium sound system, digital key, blind view monitor, wireless charging, HUD, panoramic sunroof, ADAS Level 2+, traction modes, Auto park, 10-way powered driver seat with memory function, ventilated front seats, reclining rear seats, and more in its package.

Powertrain – 

The engine options don’t see any changes, the new-gen model is offered with three engine options – a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Hyundai might also add on a hybrid option in the coming year, but it still remains unclear. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, iVT, DCT, iMT and AT gearbox.
