To take on the segment leader, the Hyundai Creta, brands have introduced unique products like the Victoris & the Sierra. On the other hand, Kia is all set to launch the new-gen Seltos. That said, one of its underrated rivals is now set to get a segment-first feature, inspired by luxury cars like Mercedes!

Mercedes Feature In Creta Rival


To take on the segment king, Hyundai Creta, one of its rivals is set to introduce a Mercedes feature. Talking of which, it is the Skoda Kushaq facelift which will be coming with a segment-first – Rear Seat Massage feature! We have seen new cars coming with features like rear ventilated seats. However, sources have confirmed that the Skoda Kushaq will be the first & the most affordable SUV to offer rear-seat massage. Now, it is unclear if the feature will be for all three passengers or for the corner seats. That said, this feature will likely attract more buyers than before.

Along with the new exclusive feature, the Kushaq will be coming with features like Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, improved graphics for the digital cluster and more. Also, it is said that Skoda will improve the product, which includes the AC performance!
New Gearbox Coming – Skoda Kushaq Facelift


Apart from the new features and revised exterior & interior layout – typical for any facelift – the engine options are expected to remain the same. The Kushaq will continue with the same 1.0-litre TSI engine (114bhp & 178Nm) & 1.5-litre TSI engine (148bhp & 250Nm). Now, the bigger engine will continue with the same 7-speed DSG gearbox. However, sources suggest that the smaller engine will continue with a 6-speed MT, but for automatic, Skoda may swap the current 6-speed AT with a new 8-speed gearbox!

Launch & Price


Interestingly, Skoda has recently sent invitations on the 19th & 20th of January 2026. The exact details of the events are unknown, but we believe these could be the launches of much-awaited Kushaq & Slavia facelifts. What about pricing? Well, with the expected features coming to the Kushaq, the prices are expected to see a hike by up to Rs 1 lakh! Currently, the model is priced between Rs 12.79 lakh & Rs 22.13 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
