Car Buying in December – Best Deals Offered
In December, we usually see many dealers and brands offer some lucrative deals and discounts on their models. Many best-selling models too get a major price cut in this month. For instance, MG has come up with the ‘Midnight Carnival’ – offering discounts on every model along with benefits and assured gifts. Apart from these there are several brands that offer mouth-watering discounts on their car models to lure buyers, and the discount benefits are only limited for this month!

Looking at such deals, someone who is planning to buy a new car in upcoming months, might just go and book the car to get awesome benefits. But still many such people skip buying a new car in December! Why?
In today’s age, the majority of buyers do look at resale value before putting their money upfront on a car. Now, buying a car this month makes the model lose its value a little more. As your RC will show the model year as 2025 and not 2026, even if it is from December. Moreover, manufacturers majorly particularly stop manufacturing of some models by the end months to not have stored volumes to carry in the next year.

So, if you buy a new car in this month and take the delivery, it is possible that manufacturing year might make you settle for less value. Along with that, you might get a car which was manufactured some months before, as the manufacturer might have stopped production for a limited time, and have not pushed new stock.
But Is Waiting Fruitful?
Now, after reading this, many might even decide to scrap their plans of buying a car this month. And might wait for the fresh stock to come by January 2026. But, what if we say, there’s some harm in waiting? Yes, eventually car makers bid to increase a certain amount of price on their cars by the start of new year. So, waiting will not only make you lose on the deals, but would ask you to pay a bit more from the old price.

So, should you wait? Confused, right? Well, now, if you are someone who is planning to keep the vehicle for a long time, or more than 5-6 years, you can surely opt to buy the car this month. Now, if you are unsure about keeping the car for a long time, then you can have your time to think if you should wait. Do consider if the previous year of manufacturing might harm the resale value going forward.
Certainly, if you don’t majorly care about the previous year’s manufacturing, you can simply go and book your model, and eventually you can get better discounts.

What If You Get Confused?

There are some people who are just in the dilemma of whether they should buy or skip buying this year. For them, even if they lose the time of booking a model this year, they can surely opt for a previous year manufactured model in the next year. For instance, the MY2025 car model will get better and more exciting benefits than the MY2026 car models, in the next year! Thanks to dealers’ unsold inventory, which they focus on letting out.
So, don’t hassle, take your time, consider a good model that fits your choice and needs and book your car!
