Much Awaited Tata SUVs!

On the 9th of December, Tata Motors will be launching two of the most important SUVs! No, they are not all-new, but are surely expected to cater a wide range of buyers, and you could be one of them! Coming to the launches, the brand is set to introduce an all new petrol engine with the Tata Harrier & the Tata Safari. Yes, for the first time ever, the flagship Tata SUVs are set to come with a petrol engine. Talking of which, both these SUVs will be powered by Tata’s in-house, 1.5-litre TGDi engine. This engine is capable of producing 168bhp & 280Nm. Expected gearbox options are 6-speed MT & 6-speed AT. However, it will be interesting to see if the brand bumps power & torque for big & heavy machines.

Apart from the new petrol engine, we do not expect any other visual changes or any new feature additions. Pricing-wise, the Harrier petrol is expected to start from Rs 15 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) and the Safari could be priced from Rs 16 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Upcoming SUVs In December – Creta’s Nightmare!

After the launch of petrol Harrier & Safari, we will witness another exciting launch on the 10th of December. All set to take on the Hyundai Creta, Kia will be launching the new-gen Seltos in India! For the past few months, the sales of Seltos have witnessed a dip. So, to recreate its space, the Seltos needed a major upgrade! In the process, the Seltos will be getting multiple upgrades that are expected to make it competitive in the segment. Right from the new exterior & interior design to the new features & engine option, the new-gen Seltos will have many surprises!

In terms of features, we expect the SUV to get dual 12.3-inch displays, auto park, Level 2+ ADAS, Harman Kardon sound system, rear ventilated seats and more! On the other hand, the model will likely come with an option of a hybrid engine! Currently, the Seltos is priced between Rs 12.82 lakh & Rs 23.76 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). However, for the new-gen, we can expect a price hike of Rs 20,000 to Rs 1 lakh, depending on the variants.
