It looks like Tata Motors is gearing up for a big month ahead! The much-loved Sierra is finally making its long-awaited comeback after years of anticipation. But that’s not all, according to industry insiders, Tata might have two more surprises lined up for the same event. Let’s take a closer look.

Upcoming Tata SUVs – 

Following the Sierra’s debut on November 25, Tata could also roll out updated versions of its two flagship SUVs — the Harrier and the Safari.

Here’s what makes this launch even more exciting: Tata is reportedly introducing a brand-new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, which will first debut in the Sierra and then power the Harrier and Safari as well. Currently, both these SUVs are offered only with diesel engines.

The new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit is capable of producing 170bhp and 280Nm, balancing strong performance with improved efficiency. This new engine will sit above Tata’s existing 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and could be a game-changer for buyers looking for more refined petrol-powered SUVs.

While Tata Motors hasn’t officially confirmed the news yet, several reports indicate that the company might use the November 25 event to showcase not just the Sierra, but also the petrol-powered Harrier and Safari.

Whether Tata really decides to go all-out with three launches in one go remains to be seen.

Harrier & Safari Update

Tata Motors has been reportedly planning to offer a new-generation update to both the Safari and Harrier SUVs. With its new-generation update, the models will be underpinned by a new platform. This new platform is said to be longer than the current one, and if it is true then the new-gen SUVs might boast a longer design by almost 200mm. Along with that, several new features and tech will make its way on the model, expect the AWD setup  too on the ICE models. 

The new-generation update on these models might take some time. However, at present, Tata might just offer a turbo petrol engine on both these SUVs.

Tata Sierra Price Expectation

The most awaited Sierra will be making its comeback around 20 years after its last sprint. Tata has been hyping the SUV, by sharing teasers – showcasing the interiors and exterior details. The SUV will be launched in ICE and EV avatar this year. While the only thing that is currently in wraps is its pricing. 

The ICE version of the SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 24 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), the EV version is expected to be priced between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 26 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
