Bajaj Auto’s big plan for 2026 was revealed by none other than Rajiv Bajaj, MD & CEO of the company, in an interaction with CNBC-TV18
Last year, Rajiv Bajaj confirmed that 2026 will be the year of Pulsars as they complete 25 years in the Indian market. It was learnt that Bajaj will launch several new models in the Pulsar range this year in a phased manner. Now, Bajaj Auto’s CEO & MD has revealed that the company is also planning to introduce a new sub-brand in the 125-250cc displacement category for adventure and off-roading motorcycles. In total, the Pune-based two-wheeler brand will roll out 8 new bikes in the next 5-6 months, which will also include new Pulsars.
Rajiv Bajaj, in a recent interview with CNBC-TV18, stated that the Pulsar line-up will be refreshed with three waves of launches in 2026. Furthermore, two all-new models will go on sale each month over the next two quarters in the Indian market. Recently, Rajiv had also spilled the beans on the launch of the new Triumph bikes with a 350cc engine.
Earlier, it was reported by several media outlets that Bajaj is looking to introduce the new-gen models of its most popular Pulsar Classic range which includes multiple motorcycles such as Pulsar 125, Pulsar 160 and Pulsar 220. In the coming months, we could also see a new sub-brand from Bajaj on the lines of Pulsar, Dominar and Avenger in the 125-250cc segment.

Presently, the adventure and off-roading motorcycle segment is witnessing a massive demand in the Indian market. While there are a few popular models on sale such as the Hero Xpulse 210, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure, there is always space for more models. Hence, Bajaj is looking to capitalise on this opportunity with the introduction of ADVs and off-road format motorcycles.
The adventure and off-roading bikes rolled out under the new sub-brand will not only be limited to the domestic market in India. Instead, they are likely to be exported to international markets. Currently, Bajaj Auto has presence in 108 countries across the globe as it ships made-in-India 250cc bikes to these countries under Pulsar and Dominar badging.

Meanwhile, in other news, the new Triumph bikes with 350cc engine will be launched in the Indian market by April 2026, confirmed Rajiv Bajaj. These will be directly positioned against Royal Enfield’s 350cc portfolio. The company had to reintroduce its 400 range of bikes with a downsized 350cc engine in order to enjoy the benefits of lower tax under GST 2.0 in India.
