Feature-Packed Safari!

Tata Safari has always been popular for the equipment it offers. And with the introduction of a new petrol engine, the  VFM quotient has only got better! So, let’s take a look at a few features of the Safari petrol that the competitors are yet to offer –

• 14.5-inch Touchscreen System by Samsung NEO QLED – largest in the segment with best-in-segment clarity

• Camera Washer (front & rear) – a thoughtful addition that is generally offered on some serious off-roaders & luxury cars

Apart from the mentioned features, the Safari offers a 10-speaker JBL Sound System, Powered Boss Mode, front & rear (6-seater) ventilated seats, Level 2+ ADAS, 360-degree camera, dual-zone automatic climate control and more.

Elephant In The Room

Now let’s take a quick look at the new powertrain introduced with the Safari. Alongside the diesel engine, the Safari now gets a new 1.5-litre TGDi engine (168bhp & 280Nm). This engine is available with a 6-speed manual & a 6-speed automatic gearbox. How does it feel to drive the Safari petrol? In a word, relaxed! The engine may have linear power delivery, yet it picks up speed in quick succession. The refinement is also pretty impressive. However, the engine does get noisy, and you can feel some vibrations, but only under aggressive acceleration.

But is it only the new engine that makes the Safari an attractive deal? Not really! The Safari, even with its diesel engine, has been a great SUV to consider. This is largely due to the OMEGA Architecture – derived from the Land Rover D8 platform. The platform is responsible for Safari’s calm & relaxed driving manner.

Tata Safari Petrol Features – Launch & Price

Tata Motors is yet to reveal the pricing of the Safari petrol. And the same is expected to be announced in January 2026. Having said that, we can expect Tata Motors to launch the new Safari petrol at an aggressive price point.
