1. Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift – Upcoming SUVs Under ₹15 Lakh

In the compact SUV segment, Brezza is a promising player from Maruti’s lineup, and it’s now due for its mid-cycle refresh. With competitors like the 3XO and Nexon, Maruti would focus more on interior quality and tech. A new 6-speed manual gearbox is expected to replace the ageing 5-speed unit for better highway cruising. ADAS tech would be integrated with lane-keep assist and adaptive cruise control, likely to debut to match segment rivals. The interior would get a larger 10.1-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen, a fully digital driver’s display and ventilated front seats. There are reports suggesting that the vehicle could get an underbody CNG tank setup (similar to the twin-cylinder tech) to liberate boot space. The facelifted Brezza could come with a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, based on the Z-series platform. This could improve the vehicle’s fuel efficiency.
The Brezza Facelift is expected to launch around Q3 of 2026 and could cost ₹10 lakh.

2. Thar 3-Door Facelift

While the 5-door Roxx is the current sensation, the 3-door Thar is getting a premium update to keep the enthusiasts happy. The updates would mostly carry bits and Aesthetics from the Thar Roxx. Curricular LED headlamps with C-Shaped DRLs and a redesigned 6-slot grille borrowed from the Roxx could be present. The most requested feature, the addition of rear AC vents, could also be included. Sliding armrest and an auto-dimming IRVM could make their way to the updated Thar.
The updated 3-Door Thar could launch around this festive season, with a starting price of ₹11.91 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

3. Nissan Tekton – Upcoming SUVs Under ₹15 Lakh

The Tekton will be Nissan’s re-entry to the mid-size SUV segment in India. Based on the CMF-B platform, it could provide a ‘big car’ feel at a compact price point.
The Tekton could feature a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine co-developed with Mercedes-Benz, producing roughly 163 bhp, making it the most powerful in its class. We can expect the CNG and Hybrid variants of the Tekton, as it came for the Duster. The cabin could be a minimal, driver-focused cockpit with a 3-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel and premium upholstery. It is speculated that the 360-degree camera system and Electric Stability Program (ESP) could be standard across all variants.
The Nissan Tekton is expected to launch in late 2026 and would be priced from Rs 12.65 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

That means, a 7-seater configuration with a slightly extended rear overhang could make its way, but with the same wheelbase. An 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and a panoramic sunroof could be available even in mid-spec variants. USB Type-C ports for all three rows and a cooled wireless charging pad will be equipped. The 1.5-litre Strong Hybrid system would remain the USP, offering an expected real-world mileage of 25-27 kmpl. The 1.5 Litre NeoDrive mild Hybrid and the 1.5L E-CNG options could also be considered by customers.
