Tata Sierra Details – A Head Turner!

One of the most talked-about points about the new Sierra is its design. The SUV was showcased multiple times at the Auto Expo – making everyone quite excited. And a similar design can be seen on the production model as well. It carries a new design language of Tata SUVs with connected LED DRLs, connected LED taillamps & flush door handles. However, to stay true to the name Sierra, Tata Motors has smartly designed the side profile to give an effect of continuous glass treatment – a design highlight of the OG Sierra! That being said, the SUV will likely be offered with 18-inch alloy wheels. Overall, the new Sierra retains the design elements of the OG model – including the boxy silhouette.

The boxy shape is not just for aesthetic purposes, as it will translate into an impressive cabin space. The Sierra will be measuring 4.3-metres in length, which is similar to other SUVs of the segment. However, from teasers, the Sierra appears to be the tallest & the widest SUV of the segment. If the speculations are right, the Sierra will be the most spacious offering in the segment, easily accommodating 5 adults!

Tata Sierra Details – Segment Best Features!

Tata Sierra is coming to rival the likes of Hyundai Creta & other SUVs. The segment is already popular with features like Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, powered seats, and more. All of these are coming with the Sierra as well. However, to make it stand out, we can expect features like an AR Head-up display, ventilated rear seats, premium sound system, powered Boss mode, digital IRVM and advanced ADAS tech – similar to the Harrier.ev. Also, the SUV is set to debut a triple-screen layout for the brand, and will be the first in the segment.

No One Will Be Disappointed! 

Tata Motors has planned something big for the Sierra, which will not leave anyone disappointed. Like most competitors, the upcoming Sierra will be offered with multiple engine options. This includes – a 1.5-litre TGDi (168bhp & 280Nm), a 1.5-litre NA petrol (118bhp) & a 1.5-litre diesel engine (116bh & 260Nm) – from Tata Curvv. Among these, both the petrol engines are expected to be offered with options of 6-speed manual & 7-speed DCA gearboxes. On the other hand, for the diesel engine, Tata Motors has developed a new 6-speed AT gearbox. Also, Sierra is expected to get a tuned diesel engine with higher power ratings! But – why did we say that it will not leave anyone disappointed?

Tata Sierra Details – Competition Killer!

Well, it will be the pricing of the SUV that will not leave anyone disappointed! So, with the new 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, Tata Motors is targeting to launch the Sierra at an aggressive price. Talking of which, Tata could launch the Sierra starting from as low as Rs 12 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), and going all the way to Rs 24 lakh (on-road, Mumbai)! So even for a buyer with a slightly lower budget, the Sierra can be an option to consider. With this pricing & the equipment on offer, the SUV is not just undercutting the Creta, but is expected to attract the majority of the interested Creta buyers!
