The scooters account for nearly 95 percent of the sales in the electric two-wheeler category in India. Hence, despite the presence of several legacy brands such as Bajaj, TVS and Hero, more companies are ready with their new models, slated to go on sale in 2026. 1. Vinfast Electric Scooter
The Vietnamese pure EV brand will start retailing electric scooters in the Indian market from Q2 2026. Though it is not yet official which models will be introduced in India. The company will locally manufacture the e-scooters at its factory in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. Vinfast has already earmarked an investment of $2 billion (around Rs 16,000 crore) for the same.
