Upcoming Hyundai Creta Rivals – Tata Sierra

The Sierra is the most talked SUV presently and its launch is a few days away. Having an emotional touch, the Sierra is expected to up the sales volumes for the brand. Moreover, If priced precisely, it can be the next best-seller from the segment dethroning the Creta. We expect Tata to price this SUV between Rs 12 lakh to Rs 24 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) which will be a sweet spot.
With more features, spacious interiors, different design language – the Tata’s SUV will take on the Creta. The only thing everyone would need to think is about the new powertrain. Sierra will debut with the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine – the refinement of this engine is on the verge. If Tata could handle it, then this SUV can do wonders for them. This makes the Sierra an SUV to watch out for if you don’t want the most common SUV in your garage.

Renault Duster –

The Sierra isn’t the only one which is making a comeback – the Duster too is on the list. If you don’t remember, eventually the Renault Duster was the first which gave rise to this mid-size SUV segment, and was one of the most popular SUVs. But later on, Renault stopped selling this SUV in India.
Renault Duster will be making its comeback on 26th January – mark the dates. Why? You will be able to see a more mature model of this SUV – better features & space. The powertrains are kept under wraps, but we assume the old 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine can again feature on this model – yes, the one which was also used in entry-level Mercedes models. Along with that a 1.0-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre NA petrol can also be on the list. By far, no diesel engine is under consideration.
According to our expectation, the Duster could carry a price tag ranging between Rs 14 lakh and Rs 23 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Upcoming Hyundai Creta Rivals – Kia Seltos

Hyundai’s sister brand, Kia is also readying its Creta rival – the Seltos. The Seltos has already garnered a good popularity, but for some time its sales have been dwindling down. Now to let this affect any more, the Seltos will carry a new look.
Along with a new look, expect the model to look a bit longer – it could be the longest SUV in the segment. Also some new features can make its way, expect it to carry some features from the Syros SUV. With that, its new price might see a premium of Rs 50,000 to Rs 80,000 depending on variants. More details about the model will be revealed at its global unveiling happening on 10th December!
