India’s Favourite – Upcoming 7-Seaters In 2026
The first 7-seater that is scheduled for launch in 2026 is India’s favourite. We are talking about the much-awaited – Mahindra XUV700 facelift! Well, with a facelift, the SUV will be called the XUV 7XO and will be launched on the 5th of January 2026. Mahindra has already teased the XUV 7XO and is set to receive a major design overhaul.

With a facelift, the XUV700 will get a new design, including redesigned headlamps, taillamps, front & rear bumpers, and alloy wheels. On the other hand, teasers reveal that the interior of the XUV 7XO will be in line with the Mahindra BEVs. So, it will come with a slightly redesigned dashboard layout which will house three 12.3-inch screens and 2-spoke steering wheel. Along with the overall design, the feature set is also expected to be shared with other Mahindra BEVs. This includes a 16-speaker Harman Kardon Sound System, Level 2+ ADAS, Sliding & Reclining Second Row Seats, Ventilated Second Row Seats and Powered Boss Mode, among others.

Engine options like the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine & 2.2-litre diesel engine will remain unchanged. Both these engines have seen impressive units with the power they produce and the refinement they offer. So, it makes no sense for Mahindra to make any significant changes to the engines.
Most Affordable Japanese 7-Seater!
The next 7-seater, which will be launched in January 2026, is a Japanese product. One of the popular Japanese automakers, which is currently dependent on just a single SUV, has recently announced its India plans. And the upcoming 7-seater is one of them. We are talking about Nissan and its recently announced 7-seater, the Gravite!

Yes, Nissan has recently announced its upcoming Gravite 7-seater, which is a compact MPV based on the Renault Triber. The brand has yet to announce the exact launch date, but has confirmed it will happen in the first month of 2026. Coming to the Gravite, the brand has only teased a few elements of the 7-seater. Although based on the Triber, the Gravite will likely have an aggressive design language. Even the interior design, the feature list & engine options will broadly share similarities with the Triber.

However, Tata has added a few features, such as a front & rear camera washer, a digital IRVM, an ORVM memory function with auto-reverse dip, and a 14.5-inch Samsung NEO QLED touchscreen system. Also, the brand has reintroduced the Red Dark edition with the Safari nameplate.
